Oskar Hansen – Opening Modernism

The first international conference, devoted to the work of the pioneering Polish architect, Oskar Hansen (1922-2005), was held in 2013 in the Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw. The museum maintains a great website for the conference, with videos from all the lecturers, with such well-known figures among them as Svein Hatløy, the former principal of the Bergen School of Architecture, David Crowley, Professor and Head of Critical Writing in Art & Design at the Royal College of Art in London or ETH architecture theory professor Ákos Moravánszky. The lectures give a great overview on the oevure and influence of a great visionary of post-war modernist architecture
